This year has marked a series of successes for the superstar, beginning with the release of “All for You,” produced by Jackson with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis; it debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart, marking the highest-selling week of her career, and has already sold more than five million copies worldwide. Jackson also exploded onto the singles charts with the album’s title track, the highest debuting single in Billboard’s Soundscan history, remaining at Number One on the Hot 100 for seven weeks. Her second single, “Someone to Call My Lover,” also soared to the top of the charts and produced a Number One hit video. Jackson’s latest smash single is “Son of a Gun.” In addition, her “All for You Tour 2000” was among this year’s hottest concerts events, selling out arenas nationwide.

Selling more than 50 million albums during her career, Jackson’s previous five multiplatinum albums include “The Velvet Rope” (1997), “Design of a Decade” (1995), “janet.” (1993), “Rhythm Nation 1814” (1989) and “Control” (1986). With 20 gold and five platinum singles, she has amassed a long list of honors, including four Grammy Awards, and numerous MTV Music Video Awards and Soul Train Music Awards, as well as The Award of Merit at this year’s American Music Awards.
